Las Vegas trip and WPPI

This past week I went to Las Vegas for the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Convention (WPPI). It was wonderful.
I was able to see Matthew Jordan Smith who is one of the photographers that I am inspired by. He talked about photographing what you love.
Another seminar that I attended was by Sandy Puc.
She is such a wonderful photograher and a beautiful person. She talked about how to market your photography business. However I went to see her because she would be talking about a organization that she helped start Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. This organization provides photography to familys where their newborn baby will not make it out of the hospital. The photographer will come to the hospital free of charge and photograph the baby and family and provide them with a DVD slideshow set to music again free of charge. I plan on becoming apart of the wonderful organization. Sandy also does a lot of charity work and promotion for Race for the Cure.
My friend Christine and I had red swollen eyes after hearing Sandy speak.... but it was so worth it... we feel so honored to be apart of such a wonderful community of photographers.

Vegas is a fun city to photograph... We stayed at the Monte Carlo and the convention was at Ballys and Paris... fun fun

The first image I took with my new camera...the canon 5D! From the hotel room... New York New York...

Speaking of our hotel room... my bed was really comfy.... lol

Our last day we made a quick trip to Red Rock Canyon just 20 min outside of Vegas!
It was awesome!

Love the donkey sign.... ;-)

The sky was just beautiful... puffy white clouds and so blue!
